What about 2FA

Some learning for your grey matter today! Did you know that the phrase “Sweet FA” doesn’t mean what you think it does? The term ‘sweet Fanny Adams’ originated in 1869 among Royal Navy sailors, who darkly joked that the contents of their tinned meat resembled the remains of Fanny Adams. Over time, it evolved into a euphemism for ‘sweet nothing’.

But what about 2FA? Well, for those who don’t know, it stands for 2 Factor Authentication… and really is not Sweet FA!

Many people consider 2FA (two-factor authentication) as a secure way to protect their online accounts. However, the following video demonstrates that 2FA may not be as foolproof as everyone thinks it is.

Fake login pages are usually designed by hackers to trick users into entering their login credentials. But with a tool called Evilginx, hackers can also deceive users into submitting their 2FA codes. This enables the hackers to gain full access to the user’s account without any further 2FA prompts.

If you need any further advice or solutions, please don’t hesitate to contact CAP Technologies, they’re always happy to help out.
