G12 Code of Conduct
At G12 Business Club we are committed to creating a positive, professional and supportive environment where local businesses can build relationships, share opportunities and grow together.
All members and visitors are expected to behave in a way that reflects the values of collaboration, respect and professionalism.
1. Professionalism
All members must maintain a high standard of professionalism in all interactions within the group, including meetings, events and online communications such as WhatsApp groups. Treat fellow members, visitors and guests with respect, courtesy and fairness at all times.
2. Respect and Inclusion
Discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, age or any other protected characteristic will not be tolerated. G12 welcomes people from all backgrounds and aims to create an inclusive environment for everyone.
3. Confidentiality
Members must respect the confidentiality of information shared within the group. Sensitive business information, personal matters or private conversations should not be disclosed without permission.
4. Honest and Transparent Communication
Members should communicate openly and honestly. Misleading information, misrepresentation of services, or deceptive practices are not acceptable.
5. Collaboration and Support
G12 exists to support business growth through relationships and referrals. Members are encouraged to share knowledge, offer introductions and actively support fellow members where possible.
6. Appropriate Promotion
Networking and promoting your business is encouraged. However, excessive self-promotion, aggressive selling or repeated unsolicited approaches are discouraged. The focus should always be on building relationships first.
7. Respect for Time and Commitments
Members should respect the time and commitments of others by arriving on time to meetings, participating constructively and honouring commitments made to fellow members.
8. Constructive Communication
Feedback and opinions should always be delivered constructively and respectfully. Personal attacks, insulting language, harassment or behaviour that creates discomfort within the group will not be tolerated.
9. Appropriate Language
Members are expected to use professional language in meetings, events and group communications. Foul, abusive or insulting language is not acceptable.
10. Compliance with Laws and Professional Standards
All members must conduct their business activities in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and professional standards.
11. Dispute Resolution
Where disagreements arise between members, they should first attempt to resolve the matter respectfully between themselves. If required, the group organiser may assist in facilitating a resolution.
12. Protecting the Culture of the Group
G12 Business Club exists to create a positive environment for networking and collaboration. Behaviour that repeatedly creates conflict, negativity or discomfort within the group may be addressed by the organiser to protect the culture and wellbeing of the wider membership.
13. Behaviour and Conduct Process (Three-Stage Approach)
To ensure fairness and transparency, G12 follows a simple three-stage process where behaviour concerns arise.
Stage 1 – Informal Conversation
If a concern about behaviour or tone is raised, the organiser may have a private conversation with the member to highlight the issue and encourage a positive resolution.
Stage 2 – Formal Warning
If the behaviour continues, the member may receive a formal warning outlining the concern and the expectation that the behaviour must change.
Stage 3 – Removal from the Group
If the behaviour continues after a warning, the organiser reserves the right to remove the individual from G12 meetings, WhatsApp groups, referral groups or membership.
This decision will be made in order to protect the culture, reputation and positive environment of the group for all members.
14. Membership Termination
G12 Business Club reserves the right to terminate membership or remove individuals from meetings, referral groups or communication channels if their behaviour is deemed detrimental to the group or in breach of this Code of Conduct.
To protect the positive and supportive culture of G12, the organiser reserves the right to suspend or remove access to meetings, groups, or communication channels where a member’s behaviour is considered detrimental to the group.
