We Need Your Help – But Not Your Wallet (Not Yet, Anyway)

We’re planning an epic challenge to raise vital funds for trauma survivors this summer in early July. From veterans living with PTSD to individuals who’ve experienced domestic abuse, trauma leaves deep scars – but together, we can be part of their healing journey.

The Challenge:
Cover 24 miles in under 12 hours – walk, run, hobble, hop, or skip – your choice!

Sounds manageable, right?

Here’s the twist: You’ll be conquering the three highest peaks in Yorkshire:

  • Whernside (736m)

  • Ingleborough (723m)

  • Pen-y-Ghent (694m)

This is the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge – and it’s not for the faint-hearted!

The Plan:

🚐 Thursday 3rd July

  • Leave Devon around 1.00 pm in a convoy of minibuses

  • Arrive in Settle (Yorkshire) around 7.00–7.30pm

  • Grab some dinner and get some kip

🥾 Friday 4th July

  • Start walking around 6.30–7.00am

  • Aim to complete the full 24 miles in under 12 hours

  • Then… depending on your option, either head straight home or relax in style!

Two Options – You Choose:

Option A – The Classic Challenge (£500 fundraising minimum)

  • Drive up Thursday

  • Stay in a basic hostel (shared dormitory, 8 per room)

  • Walk Friday and drive straight back after (home by midnight)

Option B – The Deluxe Experience (£950 fundraising minimum)

  • Drive up Friday morning

  • Stay in a hotel/B&B

  • Walk after breakfast, then enjoy a proper pub meal and a second night at the hotel

  • Travel home on Saturday after a good breakfast (back around 1pm)

Note: Option B places will be limited – comfy beds are in short supply!

Drivers won’t be expected to fundraise, but contributions toward accommodation would be hugely appreciated. And yes – we need a few drivers, so if you fancy a road trip and want to be part of something meaningful without climbing a mountain, this is your chance!

All funds raised go directly to support those impacted by trauma – particularly veterans and survivors of domestic abuse.

So… who’s with us?

And if you know someone adventurous (or someone who loves a good cause), please invite them to join the team. Let’s do something amazing this summer – together.

Imagine a place where stories of resilience, courage, and transformation unfold every day. A place where you’re greeted not with a cold, clinical atmosphere, but with warmth, understanding, and the belief that everyone deserves to feel whole again. This is The Devon Clinic.

It’s not just a charity—it’s a lifeline. Specialising in mental health support and helping survivors of domestic abuse, The Devon Clinic has made a name for itself by putting people first. Over 40 skilled practitioners work from its doors, each offering their expertise in counselling, psychotherapy, clinical psychology, hypnotherapy, and holistic therapies to help individuals reclaim their lives.

But it’s more than the services—it’s the why. The Devon Clinic is here because they know that life can be tough, messy, and unpredictable. They’re here for the moments when you need someone to say, "You don’t have to do this alone." They’re here to empower, to guide, and to build a stronger community one person at a time.

When you support or visit The Devon Clinic, you’re stepping into a movement. You’re joining hands with people who believe that mental health matters, that compassion creates change, and that hope is never out of reach.

Whether you need help, want to volunteer, or simply want to learn more, this is your invitation to discover The Devon Clinic. It’s not just a place; it’s a promise—that you are seen, valued, and supported.

Change starts here. Are you ready?
